Stairs, a metaphor,
Always up and never down,
Please, take the first step.

Thanksgiving eve
House is clean, food is ready.
Blessings are many.
I am sitting here,
Cold and bruised, no shoulder
To cry on. It hurts.
Badly used shoulder, this what I get for a day of Filipino stick fighting, self defense tactics and shoveling snow two weeks ago. Doctor said quit using it. Right, that’s going to happen. I really hate getting older 😏.
“You are wet,
Very, very wet.”
Said the cat
When the dog returned from his nightly perambulation.
Golden leaves fall
crowning the forest floor,
Yesterday’s mud slick with snow.
