“I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.” General Dwight D. Eisenhower Thank you to all that have served! Advertisements
Cold wind of autumn blows across green summer grass, waiting for the snow.
Floating in our midst Our troubles never drift far, A blossom can appear.
I open to you, a bright spot in the clouds, a remembrance.
Floating in the air, Facing sunrise and sunset, Leaving us smiling.
Walking in the woods, you catch my eye and I smile, A flash of color.
The dark clouds run low teasing tree tops bending low. Purple flashes now.
