Summer comes slowly

The once sun gold shrubs are wrapped in dew tipped greenery.
White frosted cherries, fade to apple green
and disappear into the woods.

Fragrant lilacs swarm the hills with purple and blue.
Crowds walk slowly admiring the shaded blossoms
as the wind twirls through the branches.

Cool nights under the full moon soon transforms into
a dawn brilliant with robins’ song.
