Reflections of a sharp edge

Paper, scissors and sword

Scissors cuts wobble
Paper cuts are sharp and deep
Sword cuts forever.

Lost pictures – lost time
Memories fade and are gone
Smiles and laughter

Sitting alone, not quite – cutting out,
Cutting away baggage,
Cutting away surface thoughts
Finding the emptiness,
Letting go of self, of desire

Wanting something badly,
Wanting . .  . letting go . . .
Emptiness and blackness
Infinity and starlight
Judgement or not, why do we care?

Cutting away – layers
Letting it go,  harder.
Fear and loneliness …
Is emptiness all? Is there more?

Stand and slice – mother, daughter, sister, wife
Stand and slice – lover, friend, me and you
Stand and slice – wizard – witch,
Stand and slice – warrior – beauty queen.
