December Reflections

Winter cold and grey,Snow covered ground, matches the grey in my soul.
Dark nights, darker days – head lights blind
Deer heads, teeth to count, Hunter’s trophy
Tomorrow’s dinner.

Another world, warm sand, colder waves,
Sunshine, flowers.
Where did they go?
Moonlight and star light
long past, sharing with you.
Warm fires, wood smoke.

Where is the snow? To blanket the flowers for  spring?
Autumn leaves must do, for winter is cold and grey.
